Joey is walking home from school when he gets a text message from his friend Deirdre. She wants Joey to come to her house to see her new video-game system. Joey really wants to see Deirdre's new game, but his parents told him to go straight home after school. What should Joey do?

If Joey asks tomorrow his mom may say yes.
Joey will really like that game I think if he ever gets to play it.
Joey should tell his friend that he can’t come. Or that he is sorry that he can’t come.Or he could say ‘’my parents told me to come straight home’’. Or maybe I will come next time. Or he could do what his parents told him to do. Not his friend.

Joey should tell his friend that his parents told him to come straight home. One other thing he could do is go home and ask his parents if he could go to see his friend’s new video game system. Or he could tell his friend that he dosen’t know if I he can come. He could tell his friend “I have to ask my parents if they say no, I can’t come, but if they say yes I can come.” Or he could tell his friend maybe I’ll come another time.

Joey can tell his friend that I need to find out by asking my parents. Then he could he could tell his friend that I don’t know if I can come to your house without my parents permission. Then if he ask his parents that can I go to Deirdre house so I can see her new video game
